This 90-minute “Train the Trainer” session equips participants with the knowledge and skills to deliver Intervene, a free, nationally recognized bystander intervention curriculum designed to prevent campus sexual and interpersonal violence. Facilitated by Dr. Sucrose, this interactive workshop provides an overview of Intervene’s evidence-informed approach, introduces the video scenarios and accompanying facilitation guide, and prepares participants to train others in recognizing and responding to harmful behaviors. Participants will have time for practice, reflection, and questions. 

As a result of this session, participants will be better able to: 

• Understand the key components and objectives of the Intervene bystander intervention curriculum 

• Facilitate discussions using the Intervene video scenarios and accompanying materials to encourage bystander intervention  

• Train others to recognize harmful behaviors and intervene safely and effectively 

• Adapt the curriculum to fit the unique needs of their campus or student population while maintaining its core principles
